Travel through time in Blonay
where history meets people and its region!
of the origins of Domaine Barichet.
The winemaker, oenologist, cellar master, and nurseryman of Domaine de Barichet inherited, developed, and enriched his estate since the 1970s after studying at the Marcelin School of Viticulture in Morges and the School of Oenology in Changins.
Today, he has decided to undertake a complete renovation of his estate to leave it in excellent condition for his descendants. What a testament to his courage!
Located on a “Basket Handle” vault likely dating from the 18th century, Domaine Barichet upheld the prestige of a very old family from Blonay until the end of the 19th century. When the family line died out, another bourgeois family maintained the property until the 1950s. The estate was then taken over by the Mamin family. Today, it spans 4.6 hectares to the east of Lavaux, a region whose central part is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
